The union between industrialized construction and high energy efficiency results in a sustainable construction system, in the construction phase, useful life and end of life.

Sustainability is based on three pillars: economic, social and environmental. At EVOWALL we want to generalize and democratize industrialized construction to achieve a sustainable building system for people and the planet.

SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT

The sustainability of a construction system requires a complete and audited life cycle analysis (LCA) in accordance with current regulations.

The LCA assesses the impact of the final product during its entire life cycle. Many variables are analyzed, the most important of which are CO2 emissions, energy consumption and water consumption.

Industrialization allows for much more detailed control of the manufacturing and construction process than traditional construction.

EVOWALL LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS

Going further, from EVOWALL together with ITeC we have developed a digital LCA tool, which gives the maximum information to reduce the environmental impact to the maximum.
For each building we manufacture, we can calculate with the utmost rigor th real impact and sustainability and allow us to visualiza it.

It allows to choose the best option for the project under study and to take concrete actions before starting.

We can evaluate and compare each of the proposals with real values:

change of insulation materials
use of different industrialized elements
increasing the energy efficiency of the building
use of renewable energies

The phases considered for an LCA are: product stage (1), construction stage (2), use stage (3) and end-of-life stage (4).

In the LCA-EVOWALL tool we analyze phase (1) and (2) where we are the most responsible. Within these phases we find:

Product/manufacturing stage (A1-A3). Extraction and processing of all raw materials used, processing of inputs involving secondary materials such as residues, etc.
Transportation stage (A4). Transportation of the products to the construction site.
Construction stage (A5).

Phase (3) corresponding to the use stage of the building in its useful life (75-100 years) is the most important, as it generates the greatest environmental impact.Therefore we have also incorporated it in order to have a broader and more realistic view of the environmental impact and true sustainability of the EVOWALL system.

Phase (4) is still under development in the tool due to its complexity. But we can already advance that our panels are removable in the future and make it possible to recycle a large part of the raw materials used.
