Sustainable Innovations Transforming Construction Practices: RENplusHOMES General Assembly in Thessaloniki, Greece

On November 7th and 8th, the General Assembly of the European project RENplusHOMES took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. EVOWALL TECHNOLOGY was a prominent participant in this pioneering event, dedicated to leading the development of a universal methodology for sustainable energy homes and residential districts.

A Glimpse of Our Participation

Our team immersed themselves in two days of intense collaboration and sustainable innovation during the General Assembly for the RENplusHOMES project. This event exposed the hard work of months of dedicated effort, during which we delved into:

  • Reflecting on Past Achievements: We had the privilege of reflecting on and celebrating our past accomplishments within the RENplusHOMES project, acknowledging the milestones reached and the impact made.
  • Planning for the Future: Discussions were centered around the ambitious future for the project, exploring how we can continue pushing the boundaries of industrialized construction and sustainable housing.
  • Showcasing Our Demo Sites: A significant highlight was the opportunity to showcase our project’s demo sites, demonstrating the groundbreaking technologies and practices we have been developing to transform the construction landscape.

La Garriga Demo Site: A peek into the Future

EVOWALL TECHNOLOGY’s involvement extends to the demo site in La Garriga, Catalonia, Spain. The construction phase, planned for the second semester of 2024, will be followed by monitoring from September 2025 to September 2026. This site will serve as a model for future construction, employing innovative technologies, passive design principles, and sustainability measures to create a positive energy residential building. This approach aims to significantly reduce CO2 emissions while ensuring resident comfort and well-being.

Exploring Innovation at CERTH SMARTHOME Facility

During our time in Thessaloniki, our team had the incredible opportunity to visit the innovative SMARTHOME facility at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH). This visit allowed us to gain insights into cutting-edge technologies and solutions that can further enhance our commitment to sustainability and innovation in industrialized construction.
