SINGULAR ARCHITECTURE IN THE BAIX EMPORDÀ

We present two passive houses in Rupià, a beautiful village with medieval town planning, located in the Baix Empordà. This locality, surrounded by green fields and lovely landscapes, offers a charming escape to those looking to discover the history and beauty of rural Catalonia.

CUSTOM ARCHITECTURE

The “casas 1922” project is from the office Nordest Arquitectura, from Palau-Sator. The main objective was to achieve maximum harmony with the privileged surroundings of the Empordà.

In addition, the client wanted to combine the singular and local architecture with the industrialization and energy efficiency of the EVOWALL system. Thanks to this combination, a completely custom-made project has been obtained with the Passive House Low Energy certification.

This project redefines sustainable construction by fusing innovation with tradition, incorporating design and industrialization.

THE PROJECT

Both houses, which share a garden and swimming pool, each have a 2-car garage with a machine room. Each one has its own private access patio and a unique space with kitchen, dining room and living room on the ground floor. On the upper floor, both have two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and terraces.

East house: 263 m2. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with en suite bathroom, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with laundry room.
West house: 268 m2. It has two other bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and a bathroom with laundry room on the ground floor.

The architecture of this project not only reflects a high level of design and innovation but is also the result of an exceptional collaboration with several experts in the sector.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Construction system : industrialized panels of the EVOWALL system.
Pitched roofs: wooden beams with Thermochip panels and the Borjatherm roofing system.
Flat roofs: EVOWALL roof panels, with hollow insulating panels of very low conductivity and PIR panels with built-in slope.
Enclosures: from the UNILUX house made of natural pine wood and with triple glass.
Facilities: Double-flow mechanical ventilation with heat recovery from the Zehnder house, for maximum comfort and energy savings. It has been complemented with a Panasonic aerothermic for air conditioning and also ACS, installed by RECMAI.
Photovoltaic installation: 11 kWh for each house, with 7 kWp batteries

With this project, EVOWALL TECHNOLOGY demonstrates that sustainable construction can coexist with personalized architecture, combining PassivHaus construction without sacrificing aesthetics or local materials and traditions.
